Choosing Wall Lighting Fixtures for Office Lighting

Lighting fixtures in a room are in a way its architectural jewelry and wall lighting fixtures are no exception. However, you must exercise some prudence as regards the choices in office lighting fixtures since it would eventually determine the comfort level of the work environment and in turn the productivity levels in the office.

Because all modern offices extensively use computers, they do not require bright lighting. In fact, offices need low intensity lighting to prevent glare to the eyes and minimal reflection off the computer display screen. Sufficient lighting at eye levels is also a must in any office to ensure the least amount of fatigue to the eyes and no cases of headaches due to poor lighting. So, modern office lighting extensively uses wall lighting fixtures placed above workstations. The lights are also chosen with adjustable light intensity controls to suit individual preferences and needs. Further, the lighting fixtures are never placed nearby large windows, as thus they combine natural light with overhead lights and causes glare.
